Dr. Takumi Noguchi is a Professor at the Graduate School of Science, Nagoya University, Japan.
He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Tokyo, Japan, in 1991. From 1991 to 2001, he served as a researcher and later as a senior researcher at the RIKEN Institute in Japan. In 2001, he transitioned to the University of Tsukuba as an associate professor at the Institute of Materials Science. Subsequently, in 2010, he became a professor at Nagoya University. His research primarily focuses on the mechanisms of light-induced electron transfer and water oxidation reactions in photosystem II, with infrared spectroscopy as a major tool.
